I used All Balls for swingarm & linkage bearings. Did not trust them for engine bearings.. OEM in the engine.

I am very familiar with them, they are good quality bearings....for wheels, linkage, shocks, swingarms.

But I would recommend staying with OEM for every bearing inside your motor.(unless your upgrading to roller bearings, which are still KTM OEM technically)

Hey all, first post.

I actually purchased All Balls crank bearnings for my 06 Kx250F from Rocky Mountain a few months ago, and they turned out to be the same brand of bearing as the OEM part I was replacing.

Cheers

I have had bad experiences with the Hot Rods main bearing, H had been fitting them for a couple of years and then they stopped coming with Japanese bearing and started to come with "Hot Rods' lasered into the them ...then they started to fail quite quickly. We had 2 bikes go in quick time (under 5 hours) and caused a lot of drama and expense. Hot rod's importer here did nothing for us. Stick to OEM!

Hotrod has good crank bearing at a good price.
I refuse to use the hotrods crank bearings, they are made in taiwan but i hear the tranny bearings are made in japan so just wanted to know

OEM are most likely NSK bearings for Japanese bikes. NSK and Timken are probably the best bearings companies in the world. There is a lot of technology used to make these products.

I was at one point in my life involved with mfg/selling the vibration equipment used to monitor and test the bearings both during the mfg process and in the field. Some of these vibration monitors went on to large machines that if they tossed a bearing it was millions to fix. Thus they would monitor the bearings vibration rates and so they cold tell before there was a failure that they needed to be replaced. Timken was a large customer of ours. What we sold them was all used to monitor the testing/QA process to see if they were smooth bearings or not.

Like the others said before me: stick to the OEM bearings for internal engine stuff. They are very good bearings and it's not worth the risk to try something that's maybe a little cheaper. Blown engines are expensive and time consuming to fix!

I'm running Hotrods cranks in both my RM's. Been two years so far, no issues. They're not crap.

Preferable prestone.... No....Make that Quaker state

I have the the all balls in my linkage and everything seemed equal to OEM. I agree with everyone else on the internal bearings and would only use OEM inside the engine!

Hot rod crank and bearings in my 125 for 2 years with no issues. OEM is better though IMO. I have used the All Ball kits for steering and linkage with no issues but I don't think that I would go with them inside the motor. There should be a number etched into the side of the bearing that you can cross at a bearing supply. Also, just because bearings are made in Taiwan, they aren't necessarily bad. Big companies like SKF, make their bearings all over the world. It is about who makes them not where.

I'm laying here with a cracked fibula thanks to aftermarket crank bearings. Not going to name the brand, but stick to oem.

I don't contribute to China's economy. It's expensive, and requires patience, but I sleep better at night.

All Balls, Tusk, Bike Master, and numerous others can all eat a dick.

what he is saying is that you wont get the reduction of drivetrain loss and peace of mind with those chinese bearings.
