Alias gear sizing....no bueno

9/26/2012 9:15 PM

I just received my Alias gear from UPS today, I got the A2 jerseys and pants. I tried on the white medium A2 jersey first and it was very snug to my surprise....hmmmm....took it off and put on the medium black A2 jersey, fits perfect. I put them on top of each other and the black is clearly bigger than the white jersey. The white jersey is not small enough to be a size small mis-labeled at a medium so I'm guessing different factories produced this inconsistent sizing??

Being a new company I could see this happening resulting from lack of proper QC from the factories. Anyone else have the same experience with Alias gear?

Did you maybe get shipped a womens medium instead of a mens?

I am not familiar with the Alias stuff but that happened with some gear we got a while back.

I thought maybe I got a youth medium at first but I've double checked all the tags/labels and they are the exact same. I don't know if they make a womens version or not. Like I said they are close enough in size to where it's definitley not a mis-labeled small, but it's just small enough to be tight around the chest. They are also made of different polyesters and the stitching is different so I think it's either a batch issues or a factory thing....

Perhaps the "hecho en mexico" has something to do with it? Corona or Pacifico anyone?

Email them and they will take care of you. They have awesome customer service and respond quickly.

Their email is on their website.

I'm running Alias too and my stuff fits fine.

Sorry to bring this up again, but how are their sizing though, if we say that the black medium was a correct label. Do they run big or small in size?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Check the sizing chart on the BTO site, I think it's pretty accurate. Moto gear is all over the place, some brands I fit perfectly in a large, some brands I swim in a large....Alias Medium fits me good.

Doing more homework on my situation it sounds like the white vented jerseys do run a tad bit smaller than the black mediums but supposedly not as small as the one i received. So maybe I got a sample that slipped through the cracks or something, I don't know.

Oh, was not aware of their sizing chart. Thanks for the info, though.

Good luck with your jersey, I'm sure they will help you out.

Have a good day, sir.
