Thoughts on the pass Alex Frye made on the first lap of the second 250 moto on Dakota Kessler at the 1:02 mark?

haha, ya that seemed to be off the track. All I was thinking when I watched it was "damn, I wish I was even a fraction of that fast"

By the way, that should be solved by sending JT$ a picture of Jake Weimer

I saw a couple before that turn but also notice most of those lines around the whole track (from the video). I guess they need some track markers if passes cant be made on the designated track.

Hell I watch this video and I can wonder is how could that one jump make the difference of alessi beating JD? Mike caught, passed, and gapped them in the second one. How could one jump have prevented Alessi from laying the smack down? No, I'm not defending Alessi I'm just curious. He seemed to have everyone one covered fairly easy.

Jimmy beat him fairly easily moto 1 while hitting that line. Don't know if it would have made a difference in the outcome of the second moto or not as you saw Alessi was riding really good.

100% legal. No ribbon or inside markings.
X2

Whatever line ya gotta use, as long as you go around the course marker in the turn. In this case, mound of dirt.

If you guys keep watching, it looks like Kessler uses the same line to try and pass Archer later in the race. They must do a fair amount of track work there between motos, 'cause as far as sand tracks go, that place is a freeway for a moto 2.

They actually don't touch the track much at all. I saw them fix the finish line jump and the straightaway that connects back to the start. That track gets rough and they leave it that way throughout the day! It was insanely rough when we left.

I thought people were saying that jimmy d waxed alessi ? didnt look like it there and I agree with the guy earlier who said one jump shouldnt change an entire moto but i guess it could . seemed like everyone was on the rev limiter to me just rippin the sand.

He did walk away from him 1 moto in the 250 class. But as we all know, Alessi is a 450 rider and Decotis is a 250 rider. They were both hauling the mail.
