Albertson's Conspiracy Theory

Edited Date/Time 3/9/2013 10:46am
Jimmy Albertson made the comment on the PulpMX show that Villopoto got special treatment in the Red Cross flag situation because he is a Monster Energy Rider. If he was a Red Bull or Rockstar rider things would have been different.

Does stuff like this really go on behind the scenes?

I know Tony Berluti kinda agreed with him. I think it was more like "influenced" the decision.Unsure

"if you think that, you obviously don't know who makes the decisions."

However, I agree that that green M influenced the decision.

They also mentioned on the show that rv probably would not have been docked e spots if it were not for the restart on red flag....

I do not believe the green M influenced the decision to penalize him in a way that the rules do not allow. I simply believe that the AMA is completely inept and do not know how to run a fucking race series!

And, the moto journo's are so fucking scared to burn a bridge or be black balled that they will not even pretend to ask the AMA about this or investigate it!

With all due respect, sir, on Monday night's PulpMX show, Matthes played a clip of him questioning one of the head AMA guys about it. Not accusing him of being biased, but asking him about how the penalty was established and so forth.

However, I did find it odd how much Matthes was defending Villopoto. I at least think there is some ground to what Jimmy was saying. Possibly has something to do with Matthes' chum-iness with Villopoto.

Fuckin A it influenced the decision , just like the missing Go-Pro footage. Funny how that happens.

There is absolutely no way Villopoto gets special treatment. Four times in a row.

If he said there was a conspiracy because he's a top guy, that would hold more weight than what he claimed. I think the AMA made the right call, but that's a whole different argument. His conspiracy theory is ridiculous.

What does the AMA gain by ruling in favor of a Monster rider?

When a person in a interview takes time to specifically point out that he`s independent I believe him.

Well the points gap got tightened up nicely, the series stayed very much on the boil, excluding RV giving him 0 points could well have been a blow now or at some point along the way in the title run, heck it might be nail biting and all come down to Vegas at thi rate Whistling

I'm sure there are lots people pretty happy that the Big green company are series sponsor too btw Wink

I imagine the AMA is very gun-shy about penalizing a rider in the championship hunt. Look what happened to them when they tried to DQ Ricky for fuel. They ended up looking like fools at the end of that mess. The funniest part about that situation is the AMA had also DQ'd JT$ and another rider for fuel at the same time. Those riders did not have their finishes and purse money re-instated, only RC did.

Monster pays Feld, Feld pays AMA.

I think Jimmy had great points and Berlutti quietly agreed. Not just with the red flag but that RV comes out as the last racer in introductions. Lets face it, Monster pays the money and runs the series, remember when they had SPEED or CBS blur out Pastrana's Red Bull hat?

There's a way to get back at the Monster empire. It's called a "Throttle". Just make a pass on RV in the main event on non-factory special compound tires not offered to privateers. Then refuse to give a podium speech on your first career 450f win. It's easy....I don't know why anyone already hasn't thought about doing it.

How about the lack of anything about it? Have you dug into it? A real investigative type piece that compare past infractions, penalties and rules?

I don't think it's entirely a conspiracy for RV. If that had been anyone outside the 3-5 in points, there would've been a different outcome. Had 800, Albertson or many others done that exact same thing, they would've felt the wrath of the AMA, and probably put in probation to boot because of a 2nd offense.

Life isn't fair. The guys on top usually get taken care of.
