Advancements?

In my district they don't unless you move yourself up...People finish in the top 5 in points multiple years in a row and they still race the same class, or they race a handful of races so they can stay in the same class.

anyone one with a RPV above 15 will be moved up.

Not sure on exact date but I would assume sometime around the new year. Like stated above, check your rpv on the ama website. If you're over 15 you will be bumped up. You can protest also if you'd like.

This is the first year in awhile that I raced a lot because I can run the +25 b class now. Mine is around 16 so I will be getting bumped to a. Which sucks because this is the first year that I really enjoyed racing again. Not only because I was up front most races but because I know everyone in this class isn't out for blood like the young kids. I've been looking at race results for +25 a and it usually has one of the worst turnouts. Like 3 or 4 guys usually. So not only that but I'll be racing against the local legends. I probably won't do much racing next year. When most the kids in b should be bumped up but they either don't do many races or are under 16. What a great system we have....

Usually mid December-ish and they take effect 1 Jan.

Unless of course you live in California or a training facility, then you just race C class for the rest of your career.

1. Go HERE and search their name.
2. Click on the current year
3. The bubble on the top left that shows their class (A, B, C), hover the mouse over it and it will show what they are and how they got it (self advanced, RPV>15, RPV>11 after second year racing C, etc along with the effective date)
4. RPV advancement isn't effective until Jan1 of the next calendar year.
