Maybe the second team if that comes together. Do you think Barcia would ride a Suzuki?

Personally, I'd like to see that.

Sidenote: Did anyone catch his interview on that RedBull Ride United movie? It sure sounded like he said (in a very nice way) that the Yami is a high powered bucking bronco.

Barcia did an interview a few weeks ago saying that they will be on yamahas another 2 years. My guess is that this is for the second jgr team.

He is the bucking bronco, not the bike... Listen guys, all those guys, all those types of riders (top 4 to 8-10) will do exactly the same on any brand they ride. What would change their outcomes is working differently and more efficiently. They do what they've been doing for years hoping for a better outcome. If you dont change what you do the outcome will always be the same. And it IS always the same...

I actually think we would see the old BamBam on a suzuki. Peick also did very well on one. I dont think this will happen with the relationship JGR has with yamaha but who knows.

No you wouldn't.

You might see a slight increase in his finishing position. But that won't be a long term thing.

Like DV said, the problem is with Barcia. Not the bike.

Doesn't sound like it, according to Matthes...

Looks like JGR going Suzuki next year, knew they were talking but I'm still surprised. They had put so much R&D into YZF's. Congrats 2 Suz

Yarp.

Cracks me up these reports that James "hates" the Suzuki now.

Look at the setup. Choppered out to shit, just like he did to his Yamaha and the Kawis before that.

He looked great on it in 2012 outdoors, neutral bike, just rode around 2 seconds in front of Dungey. The setup has regressed each year since. Now it's the bike, which we know the platform hasn't changed, and he needs a Honda or whatever.

Barcia the same. Silly. How he gets his doors blown off by Kenny doing 8000 rpm less and doesn't question what he's doing is beyond me.

I think the Copper Webb thing has alot to do with this . Yamaha really screwed JGR over Web imo . they were set to have him .Then Yamaha brings back a factory team ,and take the best chance they had to win ,right from them

So maybe the "second team" was a covert way to shop around without rocking the boat too soon.

What really funny, is its not like the bike has changed that much . if James rode like he did at toronto 13 he win s every race this year. So its def not the bike . James biggest problem ,and always has been his DAD .,Telling him how to ride and set up the bike . Plus it was a disgrace the way James came to A1 this year . After all the team did for him . He should of been ready ,or retired before A1 . i feel sorry for yosh team

I agree. JGR been carrying the Yamaha 450 squad for several years. Finally their chance to get a real talent and factory Yamaha decides to start back up again. Total dick move. If I were JGR I would go with any other brand then Yamaha.

Lose the bullshit idea that JS7 came to A1 grossly out of shape. I saw the guy up close, he was heavier then he's been in the past but far from out of shape

Good thing too. That JGR bike would have turned CW into another JS7. They were always trying to redesign the wheel over there. Balking at factory parts to make their own. This isn't nascrap. MX doesn't really work like that.

Starting a second team on a different brand seems like an unnecessarily complicated and expensive way to field a second team...
