Lap times short but we don't care anymore! The timed events will save 50 threads a year about short lap times but add 100 about who got robbed Smile

lap times at a1 should be right around :58-1:04, so times mains wont change much. East coast and other tracks will be interesting.

Interesting.

while so many have focused on strictly the lap time aspect of the 20+1 rule change, we over looked the affect on track design itself. Could be the camera angle, but that 3rd base line rhythm section sure looks wider than I can recall, especially compared to an indoor football stadium like Atlanta or Indy. In relation to that payloader, it looks so wide, I almost thought it was going to be some sort of split lane.

So maybe the laptimes will be 42-46, there will be one less "lane" which makes for a wider overall track, which equates to much better racing, IMO. Much easier to come from a bad start when the track is 4ft wider almost all the way around.

Plus, no more wall jumps/sand traps.

similar layout (lane wise) to 2009 A1. Same amount of lanes. It'll look skinnier when the rest of the track is in there and tough blocks are on the track. But that is an interesting thought you have there.

It's rare somebody makes a good point in here but I agree, that's a good point!

Wow. The section on the far left looks peaky. I'm assuming they're gonna shape that out a bit

That doesn't look big enough to fit 50,000 people in

According to google, seating capacity is 45,050. And probably less for SX once they tarp off the danger zones.
