I'm a fan of both.
Both guys are at the top of their game.
Both guys are human too.
Both have been multi time Champions.
As a Champion past or present your looked up to.
As a Champion past or present your held to a higher standard.
As a Champion, whether you've been an idiot before or not, your
supposed to know better. Your no rookie, good bad or otherwise.
The AMA's at fault here too.
Seems again they rushed into a call they had to take back.
Seems they're famous for shooting 1st then thinking later.
But props to them for at least realizing the error of their ways
& retracting Reed's stupidly given fine etc..........
Any with eyes even if you hate Reed can see he did no more then shove
James head off of his injured hand.
I see James side, but he's wrong......the emotions got to him big time.
& big time James is. Being a multi time Champion indoors & out over
his many years you become held to that higher standard.
It clearly goes with the territory he created for himself.
Being the #1 guy carries with it a "Champions Responsibility".........
His 1st infraction or not, the AMA acted wrongly & softly here.
To jump the gun & do what they did with Reed made me laugh.
To do what they didn't do to James made me laugh even louder.
James should have been hit with a minimum of a $25,000.00 fine.
James made the pre-meditated plan & proceed to act on it!
James Stewart, multi time Champion, crossed the line here!
James should have to apologize to ALL of the Factory Kawi team.
Maybe the way the AMA made J-Law do it at a time when All teams &
racers are present.
Just cause your a 1st time offender doesn't mean you can skate the
whole deal, especially if your the multi time Champion!
Where's the reasoning here people.................!

Also, I hope Partridge is ok & doing well. That was narley, but just racing..........

The Shop
If there's a fine to be handed out - and there should be - it's for STUPID and DANGEROUS riding. What JS did in his heat was inexcusable. Suppose Kyle had been seriously or permanently injured ... and he easily could have.
There's a long and clear history here and the AMA has done zero about it. How many more riders get taken out, landed on or whatever the next stupid-ass move Stewart comes up with before the AMA does something.
As far as the AMA fining Reed. Unbelievable. Standard AMA " Ready-Shoot-Aim" mentality we've seen from them since day one. Has there ever been such an inept sanctioning body in all of sports?
Groundhog day.
I just wish for once that the AMA
would grow up & handle things.
NASCAR does it, others too.
When already!
Again, I hope they all recover,
Partridge
Reed
& yes, Stewart too........
(though the Champ stumbled, learn from it, re-group, apologize, &....)
Onto A2 (umbrella not included!.....)

Hes taken out Mike Brown at glen helen
Ricky at Unadilla
Tedesco in cananda
byrne and half the field at daytona
Partride at phoenix
Preston at a supercross
and countless others... I don't think these are aggressive takeouts.......They are just plain out and out disregard for anybody else but himself.....He needs a fine for the Partride incident. He needs a fine for the Kawi rig deal. He says on his website that he is worried when Chad is behind him.....lol .........Everybody is worried when he is behind them///
Pit Row
I think there is a double standard here. I agree that James should not have kicked over Reeds bike, but hey he was angry, which does not justify his actions.
Reed has been an idiot and always has IMHO. I don't call him that just because I don't like his personality but for his actions.
James is a top notch racer, and yes he let his anger get the best of him this time, but I will cut him a break, even the highest pro level racers have done this. If they did not have the attitude to race and win, they would not be upset when someone takes them out.
James head off of his injured hand.
Just to make sure no one forgets to read this sentence again.
Shove, push, whatever, he didn't
PUNCH him or it out of the way...........
Clearly!!!!!

A long and clear pattern .... but maybe some of you need to loosen your Bubba Blinders.
I honesty thought what happened between reed and stewart was mickey mouse shit.
All doc bognar and kawi pit theatrics aside, the altercation in that turn was weak shit from both sides. If I'm reed I'm coming heavy or not at all, if I'm stewart I'm happy thats all I got from it.
He is using a really huge brush to paint that target on his back. Pretty soon he aint gonna have many friends out there , and it'll be one rough ride coming through the pack.
