My local dealer just called and told me that is the MSRP. We are now over the 9K mark for a dirt bike. It makes the Kawi seem like a steal at $8799. Hell, left over 15 RMZ's are getting blown out for $6500 around here. That looks like the bargain of a lifetime.
The Shop
I actually have radiator braces, complete body kits with graphics (x 2), Rekluse core exp, 2 Yosh full systems (one Ti and one SS), oversized rotor kit, probably a dozen twin air filters, spare seat and countless other parts. After all that, I still wanted to try something new this year. Maybe I shouldn't. In fact, maybe I should just keep my 11.
That means someone else's 450 is gonna be $9499.
But a downhill mtb will cost you more....and you have to push those things to the top of the hill

You want that top mounted remote control? No problem, that'l be an extra $1200 mounted and ready to go! (i'l grab the stock remote control so i can sell it later to another victim) And about $400 for the throttle and shift cable.
Don't know who did you electricity on that boat but it has to be re-done, it's a mess. Another $500 and it's picture perfect!
Seems like the old batteries need to be replaced, the main switch is corroded as well, the main power cables are green and brittle so i can't really leave it like that. Down side is, it takes some time to get those to the cabine so that makes it expensive on labour. But i'l cut you some slack and do it for $600 including the switch and both semi-traction batteries.
I'l try to get it done before you leave on your holiday, but i can't promise anything.
KTMs come with all the good stuff no doubt about it. Had a friend of mine who has a teenager racing tell me last week he could get a deal on a KTM 250F but the cost difference between the KTM and Kawi parts is why they went Kawasaki.
I see a trend developing with some dirtbikes
It really bothers me, when the dollar goes up all the bike or bicycle shops here in europe tell you prices are up because of that, but I've never heard "hey, you know what? The new trek will be 10% less!!" when its the other way around.
