The last race I seen with Joel was at an indoor Supercross at Newcastle.
He and Mike Jones were doing the "Expression Session" basically the halftime show and the riders would win a little bit of money.
Jones came out with all his gear, minus pants and jersey and tried to do a crazy one handed cross up/whip but fell and hurt himself.
The winner would be chosen based on the crowds cheers, (rider who got the loudest cheers would win).
Joel won with a Heel Clicker but after Jones was helped of the track Joel announced he would split the money with Mad Mike.

His brother was a sick rider too.

R.I.P Joel.

Remember the way oldschool yellow big Fox gearbags? All yellow with just the orange stripe and the old "Moto - X - Fox" printed on the orange stripe. Those were way cool. I still have Fox catalogs from i think '82 through '86. Great memories, i grew up just a few minutes from the original Fox shop on McGlincey lane in San Jose, back when Fox Shox was right across from them.

In the late 80's-early 90's my good friend Kurt Pingle ran the race team and fully hooked me up with anything i wanted. its crazy thinking back to those days when they were just a small little shop.

The 92 RM250 came in two colourways depending on what part of the world you lived in. The US spec model had white shrouds/side plates/rear fender:



While Europe and Australia got the yellow version:






Both were ugly SickLaughing
