This thread got me to thinking about all the bikes I owned in the 90's. Here they are in year order (not necessarily the order I owned them). These are only examples too, not my actual bikes...

I had a 90 CR500 set up for Flat Track running on methanol.


91 CR250


92 CR250 - how cool did these look when they 1st came out...


92 RM250 - THIS ACTUAL BIKE. At one time I owned Ronnie Tichenor's TUF Racing 92 RM250. Another guy in Australia imported it and I bought it off him. It had amazing suspension. I wish I could find a colour photo of it.


94 YZ250


95 CR250


96 CR250 - actual bike sitting in my garage


98 YZ400F



Sort of moto bike. I had a 91 KDX250 which was road registered in Australia! I worked at Australia's #1 Kawasaki dealer at the time and had the cylinder ported to KX race specs and threw a PC pipe on it. It was awesome but VERY thirsty on the highway...

Team KTM 1991, Keith Johnson and Mike Fisher. Fish actually had a number of top 5 SX finishes in 91 aboard the KTM

All those pictures are supercool. Matiasevich's bike with the 2 sided graphics was badass.

Here's a challenge for you. Can you dig up the Alpinestars ad from 1991 (I think) in MXA that had all their sponsered riders wearing their new boots? It was like a 6 page spread.

The 90s were definitely cool. That's when I started getting in to moto. MC always had sweet looking gear and bikes. Fun to look through these pics.

There used to be a site with the entire '96 mxdn posted, but it went offline a couple years ago. Couldn't believe fro jumping down one of the hills on that 500. Crazy stuff.
