Most of you probably only know of him as a road racer (US SBK and WSBK, etc) but Anthony Gobert was one of the most freakishly naturally talented and dominant junior motocrossers Australia has ever seen.

Here he is in '92 on his way to winning the Australian SX Championship after dominating every indoor round.

How cool is that Answer gear !!! Woohoo
The "Go-Show" was simply an amazing talent.

So creative on the track (MX or SX) that translated to road racing.

Coolest race I saw him @ was the "Hyperbikers" Supermoto race at Oran Park in late '93 on a CR500 just crush the feild (including a Husky 4 stroke mounted Roger Decoster).

Such a shame that some poor lifestyle choices can ruin a carrer.

MCfan, I need to scan some of my prints from the pro MX scene from 1992-1994 when I worked with Steven Andrews and then Peter Jackson Yamaha. I think you would dig them.

That would be sweeeet JB. I have a million old magazines to go through and scan pics from too (some I already have).

I have never been able to throw any MX magazine away and now I know why Woohoo

I made the mistake of thowing out all my ADB, MXA, etc from 1987-2009 during my last move.

Kept all the Racer X though only missing a couple from issue 1.

I have some killer film prints of guys like Andrews, Perese, Dack, Bell, Gobert, etc from that era. Always had my 35mm Canon around my neck.

1993 Team Splitfire Pro Circuit Kawasaki. Couldn't find a good one of Jamie Dobb

And if anybody has anything on Mike Chamberlin you can insert it here.

I can remember upon hearing that PC had made the switch to Kawasaki at the end of 1992 that it probably was the end of the teams dominance.... Shows what I know! lol

I always loved to watch Albee, especially outdoors. Checkers or wreckers.

Bradshaw's Honda in '97 was one of my favorite looking bikes ever.
