First Hondas made in America were the fire-engine red-motored 79 CR250's.

September '79............ Honda recently shut down US production of bikes....

Rup, that is the '80 model CR250. First year for a plastic gas tank on a CR.

Does that mean more lost jobs for M'erican's ?

The first CR250 built in the US was the 1980 model shown hence the Sept 1979 build date.

The reporter from the article said that no workers were laid off. They either retired early or were transferred to the car division in the same plant.
