I was watch the Junior Moto X race on tv and there appeared to be a bunch of 65cc Yamahas in it. Is Yamaha getting in the 65cc market? I looked on their website & didn't see anything.

They will likely be introducing a 2018 model 3rd quarter of next year but nothing yet.

There have been sitings of one out at one of the so cal tracks. But it's been pretty tight lipped

This YZ 65 topic goes in cycles. Apparently, we are in said cycle. Goes like this, there is zero evidence that Yamaha is coming out with a 65. Next, an industry insider tells us when to expect it, and without fail, the timeline comes and goes and no YZ 65. So, with this precedent being set, one could use logic to deduce that the YZ 65 outlook would be no different than the last proclamations.

I recorded it during the game. I'm from Stillwater but currently living in Spirit Lake, IA so it may of just been on in my area? I don't think MavTV is different in other parts of the country though.

The real question is , what's a unk ? Don't ride one of those they are clearly non competitive.

The onus to list a brand is on the riders/parents. So, if they left it off, then brand defaults to unknown.

Noticed that also. I think they were showing an 85cc class and then they said it was 65cc. I believe the commentator/coordinator made a mistake. If little Johnnie had won on a YZ 65cc imagine the protests.
