And no other options in a very sketchy area.

Yeah, it's a rip off - but what do you expect. The only other option is to take BART or you can park out on International Blvd and deal with all the bros, hos and vatos.

You could have parked downtown near City Hall. That looked safe.

If someone wanted 50 bones to park at an event where the ticket is $40, id sell my ticket for 30 and go home.

The Jones Dome? Go eat at Humperdinks and leave your vehicle there. Take their shuttle to the stadium and back. Ten bucks per person ( I think) and you don't have to deal with all the traffic.

At Seattle SX I usually pay $30 to $40 and walk close to a mile. It's even worse for seahawks games....

You got out with all your stuff I guess?

If so, you did better than 10+ cars in Orlando this weekend at the Monster Jam. Driver's windows broken out, gun stolen, iPad, kid's DSs, and anything else inside the cars. They paid $15 to park, so I guess you got a good deal.

5 guys at work today having the glass man replacing their windows . Not covered by insurance.

Yeah, you got off OK.....

As with a lot of stadiums, you just have to know where to go. I have a spot near Century Link (Seattle) that is about a mile south and free to park. Like I said, you just need to know where to go, if you dont prepare to pay up or worry about your stuff.

Parking is such a joke anymore and not just at Jerryland. It's like airliners, taxes and banks just feeing you to death at every corner. Why don't they just up the ticket prices by $20 and call it a day. I'd happily pay $70 for a ticket if I knew I could have the same parking and not have to shell out anymore ponies for a 5X8 piece of real estate for a few hours. I mean what's next, are they going to charge a fee to use the restroom at the events? A fee to stand in line at the concession stand where they already rape you? A fee to use the stairs or escalator to get to your seat? I hate that I'm giving away all of my ideas for free. I'm definitely eating at Hooters or somewhere that taxi's you to the race and back.

Seattle is easy - lots of places to park for cheap if you know where to go.

Yup. We payed 35 at Oakland but we came in a Ford Van and got to park in the Player Parking lot. All gated and separate from the main parking area.

Guess it was for over sized vehicles. Couple hundred feet from the entrance.

But the parking is steep. Especially when the parking is as much as some of the tickets.

I think I remember it being free in Anaheim and like $15 in San Diego.. It's kind of extortion since you are forced to park there of you want your rig to be there when you get back.

What I liked is how you can't buy a Monster anywhere.

At Atlanta always park outside the city at a Subway Station and ride it to the dome. Cost maybe $2 a person for there and back. Beats the traffic leaving the parking garages

Is crime really that bad over there? Would no one take a chance parking somewhere else? Are these paid parking areas patrolled/fenced off?

From what I could tell there was no other places at all to park anywhere near. Went into a Wal-mart nearby to get my monster and was happy to get out without getting robbed or shot. Very Sketchy area.

I parked at Walmart and almost got towed. I won't do that again.

Football games at Jerry World they charge $75 to park... I only paid $25 to park for SX last year, and already have my $25 parking pass for this year... and these prices are in the stadium parking lots (I think lot 11 this year, don't recall last year).

Where the heck were you parking that it cost that much for SX?
