I read in our papers that the Clear Lake area received 11inches in 3 hours.

It's all in the flood plain there. I can remember back in the mid/late 70's when lake Conroe MX park was just across the river from there and it flooded several times when I was kid. I worked at the track back then and it was a lot of work to get everything back to normal after a flood like that. Emil might need to grab some of his sand back from the San Jacinto river!! lol The good thing there is they have it to where it drains very good so they have that going for them.

3 palms is actually the third track at that location. Conroe Motocross/Exotic Wildlife Park was there before in the same location in 1998 and got flooded out the same way during a tropical storm in 2001. It was until Emil bought it that it opened back up. Before all of that, there was a track on the other side of the freeway in the late 80s/early 90s that was a badass sandtrack. Some idiot riding without a helmet hit a tree and died and it closed down.
