WTF black number plates on a 450? Suzuki must be making major bank on the RMZ 450 since the spent little in R+D the past few years. Of course the R+D budget has been used up to pay for JS7 sitting in the sidelines.

Seems Suzuki is a few years behind in the style department. Enough with the damn black. It's really played out now. Back to a yellow fender, good, black side plates and wheels, fail.

If McGrath had his way, Honda would still be making the '93 Honda.

Wow. That's 10 model years of the same bike. I think that's a first among the major OEMs, keeping the same basic design of a bike for a decade. Below is the 2008 RM-Z450!

So old and outdated that the nationals have been won by a yellow bike every race but one this year Smile

I will say that I prefer the blue and yellow vs black and yellow

Oh come on, putting 450 on the number plate is bold Tongue

Look on the bright side though...The injection molds for all the plastics are definitely paid off by now ha.

You are sadly mistaken if you think that the bike that Roczen is riding shares anything in common with the production RMZ. They both say Suzuki RMZ450 on them and have some yellow plastic and that's about where the similarities end :-)

I think their financing campaign nailed it:

They should of just kept this look since 08 imo probably would of been better for them. That 08 was a sharp bike, although I'm partial to Zook's from 08 lol. The love affair with black plastic, I don't get it.
With bikes being over 20lbs lighter in the class and advancing more every year it getting to be a pretty steep hill to climb for the RMZ.
What the hell, bring back the RMX 250, and make a few off road models ahahaha.

But, I hear if you wear black it makes you look thinner. Sounds like the RMZ is getting a little self conscious.

There's a good chance (2) Suzuki's will be on the 450 podium tomorrow. Does that count for anything anymore?

To their credit, it looks a lot better than this mess:

Yellow front plate and fender, black fork guards, yellow shrouds, white side panels, black rear fender, and red seat.

People are all about the yamaha two strokes, which are essentially 2002 models with a few tweaks, yet when Suzuki takes a ten year nap, everyone is all pissed off lol

Only took two posts to devolve into unrelated Stewart bashing. The MX world is on point this Friday. Well done.

Ya but at least they gave them new plastics and the YZ isn't the bread and butter of their off road line up. While the 250 has had some improvements the 450 has been largely ignored for several years while the competition namely KTM , Kawasaki, Yamaha and soon Honda have gotten much better.

You guys surprised? It's been out there for a long time the bike wasn't going to change this year.

It's bad when a bike that hasn't been relevant since 2005 gets more visual updates than the pinnacle of a manufacturers off road lineup first released in 2008.
