It goes without saying that 2016 did not go well whatsoever for Stew. It honestly went about as bad as could go. Now he did have some great things in his personal life. He and his family were blessed with a healthy baby boy and Seven seemed to prosper but from a racing point of view It was pretty much a disaster. If we assume that he no longer will be with Yosh, as they are rumored to be a 250 only team next year, then where could he end up? I think he will either get support from someone and run under his Seven brand (possibly still on a Suzuki or maybe Honda) or get a contract based on results.
Options look slim to none on paper.
Monster Energy Kawasaki-zero chance
Joe Gibbs or Factory Yamaha-zero chance.
Red Bull KTM BTO Husqvarna-zero chance. Roger.
Factory Honda or Geico-don't see it happening
RCH-they could use a high profile name to replace Kenny . incentive based contract?
Any serious thoughts on this. Stew is still one of If not the most popular rider in the pits so that should be a selling point but with this past seasons issues it would have to be result based.
Curious on thoughts. Serious ones. Let's not make this a hate or love thread. Just what may be possible options. I don't see him retiring yet.

Ready for Malcolm to jump on the big bike and make some waves!
Really if you look at his history since 2010 it has been bad to terrible for him, with a few flashes of brilliance that kept it alive. A far cry from what he achieved prior to that time.....
EDIT: So I guess I remembered it incorrectly, he didn't say he has a contract through 2017 although I remember people in the know saying he does. In this video at 3:18 he says "I've kind of decided to finish it where I'm at with these guys":

Also if the rumors are true that Yosh is now a 250 only team then that kind of puts paid to any 450 for JS (and Mookie?).
If one party terminates a bilateral contract unilaterally, that's breach.
