I've heard rumors of a completely new YZ360, completely new engine, not a big bore on the existing cases, new chassis like the 450. Anyone else?

I've heard that often times when we think we know how something tastes, its only because barbed wire hurts little animals who often mistake it for head phones and then blast Bon Jovi across the supermarket which then makes all the people within earshot crave iceberg lettuce.

Me being a fellow two stroke nut myself I can tell you most anything about them (2-strokes) turns out to be nothing but a rumor. A side from boutique brands doing 2 stroke stuff don't get your hopes up.

Some examples:

direct injection ktm been waiting years
honda, zook, kawi - bringing back the 2 strokes
big bore 2 stroke returning

The 6-speed with Direct fuel and oil injection? With the Dual Sport version? Front and Rear Air Suspension? 205 lbs? Auto Clutch? I thought that was already discussed?

We heard the same 360 thing for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. 2005 gave us the aluminum frame, so .
we were happy.e

06 was the SSS suspension. They were so overstocked with 06 yz 250's people were buying them for new for 4600 otd.

That VD Laar kit tricked a few of us as did th e250 engine in 4t frame conversions.

The economy died shortly after that, so not much 360 talk. The new thing was direct injection. We heard that for 2008, 09, 10, 11 12 and 13. 2014 was quiet and all the sudden we got a new airbox! Holy shit! The molds wore out for the old airbox.

So yea. I'm sure the 360 is ready to ship for 2016. Electric start, direct injection. Electromagnet suspension.

Someone always claims to have a relative close to Yamaha's upper lever of management, but not so high as to where we would recognize a name.

Look at the shops. If you were on Yamaha's board of directors. Wouldn't you kick the engineers ass who invested time, and money on anything but four wheeled offroad machines?

You'll likely see a new YZ85 before you see anything else.

I'll be able to afford one soon. Got a relative I never knew was a king in Nigeria. Got some serious bucks coming as soon as I send them my bank account number.

You have to ask yourself, they are building this bike to run in what class/series????? Although I still believe you can make a big bore 2T with a real heavy crank approach the type of power delivery and traction you get from a 450. However, for this to be true, you would first have heard that the AMA has changed the rules.

The rules don't matter when maybe 70 guys would even run nationals and most of them are sponsored.
