What do you guys think? Kawasaki is 6999.00 and the Husqvarna is 9300.00. I'm getting rid of my 2015 fc450, had a 2013 kx450 before that.

I think that's not really a good deal for leftover kx450. I paid less and mine was current model year when I bought it. But I love my Kawi.

At that price point I would go wit the Kawi, unless you feel that e-start, better brakes, hydro clutch, good fork, lightweight, etc. are worth the extra coin.

The resell value of the Husqvarna might be a bit better. And for most people it is the better bike.

If you are on a tight budget, get the Kawasaki that is cheaper. But if you feel like you can pay the price of the Husqvarna, do it!

So weird seeing husky considered to be a good bike lol...I've been out of it for a few years now and coming back to husky is a shocker

You could spend 2,300 on a kawi and make it a better bike than the husky.

Like the other guys say. You could get the KX and get a Öhlins fork and then it would probably be close to the Husqvarna.

But the FC is for most people probably the better bike and it will hold it will hold value better.

I'm sure you could get a better deal on that husky too. Did you give munn racing a call? I've been getting emails with their "bike of the week" and damn they have some low prices.

I got the chance to ride a new 16 KTM and 16 KX back to back before deciding and the KX suited me better. They are both great bikes but feel much different ergonomically. I would say the KX is more like the Honda. The KX motor was easier for me to ride. The KTM hit hard on top and that didn't suit my style. Again, both great just different.

That's why I specified that I rode a 16, I've heard the new forks are great. But for about the cost of a full rebuild/revalve, I purchased a set of SSS forks that bolted right up to my KX and I couldn't be happier. After you buy the SSS forks (which you can sell when your done and get your money back), you would still have about $1600 to play with.

Ye ye I get that and totally agree but the op was referring to the 17 husky not the 16

The 2017 KX450F gets a few much needed changes from the '16. Mapping and slight chassis/suspension tweaks. I liked the 2016 Kawi, but I haven't ridden the new AER48 KTM forks so I can't comment.

Personally, I'd go 2017 KX450F and add a Brembo oversize front kit w/ a SS line, FMF 4.1 RCT system, TM slide n glide kit, Hinson basket and springs and call it a day.

Not true. It with be worth more than that two years from now. Easy answer for me, but I'd pick the KX all things being equal.

Exactly. Although 3800 might be a bit low, but i completely agree with your point.

I traded in my 3 year old '13 for more than that. You guys are way off.

OP is comparing the 2016 KXF to a 2017 FC, not a 2017 KXF.

Off? Maybe, Way off? no. The Japanese bike will not hold value like the Husky will.

I could get a 2015 KXF 450 for 3800€.

A 2016(the latest gen) for 4100€.

Of course with 60-90h. But good maintained.

60-90 hours is something I would never touch. We are talking $ here. Big difference.

My point is that even a more expensive 2017 KX450F would still be cheaper than the FC450 and should be considered for the changes.

If by hold their value, you mean a bike you paid $2000 more for sells for $500 more 3 years later, I could agree with you. To each their own. Just trying to give the OP some realistic info for his decision.

You guys resell four strokes after you're done with them? I thought you were supposed to just throw them away.

OP, look around and see if you can find a better deal for a KX. Probably aren't many left, but they were going for less than that in April/May due to rebates that Kawasaki offers yearly. Maybe the rebate is no longer offered, but I'd definitely call around.
