FC's isn't 100% confirmed, but this is what it sounds like.
West: Malcolm Stewart, Matt Bisceglia, and RJ Hampshire.
East: Justin Bogle and Jordon Smith.

Rock River:
West: Alex Martin
East: Luke Renzland and Gregory Gehrer

Star Racing; I think will have Jeremy Martin east, and Cooper Webb west, not sure where the other two riders will fit in.

Pro Circuit: They will try to wait until the last minute and judge based off of speed and injuries, as usual.

KTM:
West: Justin Hill
East: Marvin Musquin

TLD KTM, Barns Pro Yamaha, 51fifty Yamaha, and Slaton Racing Yamaha will all run west only.

Why doesn't every team make this decision like PC does? Strategically it's brilliant.

I guess its just me but I think it sounds stupid when there is a race in Houston, Dallas, Indy, St. Louis or Detroit and people call it a West Coast or East Coast race.

Then you would think football divisions were ridiculous, haha.

At least the NFL doesn't call the NFC East the NFC East Coast...

I'm fine with a race in Houston, Dallas, St. Louis or Indy a East or West race, just drop the word "Coast".

Anderson is on a 450 so he's racing all 17 rounds.

Well, the 21 is running both coasts since he's on a 450. Laughing

I recently saw Zach Bell back in a sling, and I imagine they'd want Osborne and Davalos on opposite coasts of one another.

Once a rider signs up for a coast, is there any changing that? For example, if rider x signs up for the west coast but gets injured between signing up and A1, can they switch him to the east coast?

I believe so. That's the intent of choosing the riders/coast at the last minute, too.

A rider can actually switch if they show up at A1 and get hurt in practice, as long as they don't lineup for the night show.

Yeah, make it east of the Mississippi or west of the Mississippi.

You know me, bending the rules...& I hope Davalos does, too! (The Teams "what bike you're suppose to ride" Rule, that is).

Not qaulified for the night show i believe.

It happend to Hahn before i believe? He crashed and got injuried in time practice. He wanted to do the east coast but was already qaulified for the night program, so he needed to stay west and SX was over that year.

Ok. But the lcq scores no points. So it's all based on qualifying for the night show?

If I'm not mistaken, you make the night show...you're in that series.

Most teams don't have 6 or 8 riders

Factory Connection has a few times before, but this year their situation has forced their hand a bit.

Original plan was to send RJ Hampshire and Justin Bogle west, but I've heard Bogle is having a bit of an issue with his shoulder and may have had a small surgery or time off to get better, thus he'll be east.

Now that leaves them with Hampshire and Bisceglia west. So the decision was made to bring Malcolm Stewart on to bring some more experience and a better chance to get on the podium out west. Justin Bogle will now ride east with Jordon Smith. Smith has always been slated to do east, as he was unable to compete in Arenacross last year to secure his license. He will have to ride the first few rounds to get his license before east coast starts.

Also, FC and PC have the same amount of riders this year, five.

isnt it mandatory to defend your regional championship unless you moved up?? why would they send their defending east champ to west

So what makes a smaller team declare earlier when they know from the beginning that they will be racing both coasts?

It isn't mandatory, and there could be a number of reasons. The main one being that the rider wants to experience both coasts before his transition to the 450 class.
