No. While historic, that place is beat down, and is no modern sports palace.

I think the stadium is ok to handle a SX event, but not sure the area is.
They'd have to highly increase security in the pits and parking lots and I don't know if you'd get much bigger of a crowd than Anahiem (45,000) so it wouldn't be worth it.
Love to see the peristyle used in modern times though!

Prepare to walk home after your car is stolen from parking on one of the extremely dangerous side streets since they have basically no parking there. That is if you are not shot on the way to the stadium in the first place.

Yup, parking is a huge issue there...among other things. Back in the day people in the surrounding neighborhoods would make a few buck by charging SX fans to park on their yards, driveways etc. A lot of those folks were legit, but others, not so much. One year an "enterprising youth" directed me around a corner to a grocery store where he wanted me to park on the grass median between the curb and sidewalk. I declined and his friendly demeanor immediately changed.

The USC Trojans get 90,000+ for their games in the same facility.

For the X-Games, we stayed at the beach & dual-sported/super-moto'd in...& got pulled over by an LA-cycle-cop on Sunset. He came to the games w/ his son later that day.

That doesn't make it a safe place to go to.

Maybe not safe? 90,000+ football fans seem to think it is ok.

regardless of what 90,000 football fans think, as a cop who has worked that general area for the past 20 years, it is not an area I would want to take my wife and daughter, especially at night. If you are cool with it, feel free to watch all of the USC games there you want.
