Since Suzuki just set the $$$ a little lower than most, are they getting rid of a good bike for something new? I've seen no pics and the few I've seen from Japan.... They look the same... Any Ideas?

I don't see it happening but that's not necessarily a knock on them. Their bikes are good so why mess with them? They aren't the coolest with backwards engines or two slip ons but they work well.

Yes I love my bike, but there have been customers saying its going to be all new since it has not changed much since 08. I hope they don't jump on the air fork band wagon.

The current model is one of the best working bikes out right now, kind of like a refuned 08 honda crf450 as much as it logically makes sense to not fix what isnt broken it sure would be nice to see an all new model… new bikes are exciting to me. Maybe with james doing well and has figured out the bike, he has definitely ridden a preproduction one and provided feedback… .its possible the new model might not be up to par with the current bike and suzuki might want to keep him on a bike that is working so as to avoid putting james into a yamaha like situation 10-12 but im 100% sure a new model exists and id really like to see what it l0oks like

Just curious, but what would you guys like to see changed? Are you just wanting a new look to the bike or are there big issues you would like to see resolved? The tough part for an OEM is glaringly obvious when you read a shootout from someone other than MXA. MXA seem to pick one winner while Racer X and some others let each rider pick a favorite and you quickly realize that everyone is looking for something a little different in the so called "best bike". Suspension for one is perfect, but for others its harsh. Some like quick turning, some like stability. Some like big power and strong hit, some like mellow and tend to want a tamer power delivery. Its really hard to please the masses.

I hope they just go with BNG and go with the 1992 theme.

Trim 7-10lbs off of it, better fork settings and you have a shootout winner. Updated plastics and you have a hot seller. Nobody is buying a new bike because of a different colored back fender !

the 2015 RMZ is going to be heavily revised...they might say its "all new" but the plastic will look the same. the frame will have different rigidity., because that is what the gripe is about the current frame. I think it will have a new front number plate because they had one on the RMZ 450 factory bike in Japan

If the bike works great, why change just for change-sake?

BNGs is over-rated.

if they shave some weight and keep the same geometry, bump up compression with a little cam work and its a winner. the ONLY thing keeping that bike from winning is that its so heavy. motor is simple and pretty solid, would like to see a little better valve material and/or coating to prevent premature wear with guys who ride high in the RPM range. had a few ive converted to DEL WEST valves after about 40 hrs because the stockers just receeded so quickly.

they need a corporate leader who can encourage them as a designer of amazing products. seems there's just no pizzazz, no high morale, no sense of urgency. the RMZs don't require revisions, they've enjoyed that for many years. they really need an entirely new machine from the ground up. i mean the P51 Mustang was a great fighter plane, but we're not using them now.

otherwise why is Suzuki in the business of designing and competing? if it were Tabasco Sauce where there's no need to touch it because it works, i could understand but this is high performance racing machinery. innovation and risk should be part of the game. if they honestly haven't the funds to let R&D run slightly wild, maybe they really should get out of the game. just my opinion, but both Suzuki and Kawasaki are way behind on design.

The bike works great, it's just not a slam dunk winner amongst its peers. From reading the mags, the major common complaint is the forks. They need to come up with a better setting. It doesn't need to be the lightest bike in the class, but being the heaviest isn't doing it any favors.

I agree, BNGs are overrated, but a lot of people will keep riding their 08-14s for another season if the 15 looks the same. I'm sure they will have their forks sorted already. I'm not hung up on the aesthetics of the bike, I think it's a great looking bike but a lot of people consider it outdated looking, there's no denying it.

If Suzuki gives it a little more power, a little less weight, updated plastic and a better fork setting they won't have to offer $2000 rebates this time next year to clear out the 15's that won't still be on the floor. It could sweep the mag shootouts with these things fixed and that will translate into mega sales.
