Do you know if Youthstream have ever actively pursued an Australian round in recent years? It would seem the most logical place for a GP in the Southern Hemishphere. Are the sanctioning fees preventing it?

A MXGP at Assen can be great, there was an mx circuit at the infield, if they use parts of it and extend it to the motoGP start area it can be a great track with great facility. lot better than Lauzitsring for spectating. That track was not bad for racing.

Australia and New Zealand have both been talked about, but nothing ever seems to make it past the rumour stage. The rounds in Argentina didn't really surprise, perhaps the fact that there are two of them (at the moment) but I think there is a lot more to work out logistically for NZ/Aus than just sanctioning fees, where as Argentina have a lot of experience with big international bike events (eg. Dakar and this year's ISDE).... it seems like down under, it will require one promoter to really step up, rather than south america where gov/businesses get involved
i'm sure there will be changes (there always are), especially as i looked all the way down it a couple of times and didn't see Southwick
So happy Argentina get's TWO rounds of the MGXP. Hope organizers step up to the game and give what is expected.
We been holding international events for several years now (FIA GT, Moto GP, Dakar, Dakar Series, ISDE, World Rally Championship, WTCC). Sure this year experience with the MotoGP gave the confidence to the FIM to bring the MXGP to the country.
The selected tracks are good choices located in beautiful natural landscapes.
What's most curious about this schedule, is that as happen in other countries of the schedule, in Argentina is imposible to buy a dirt bike.
To take away tracks like Lierop och Valkenswaard and replace it with a man built track on a road racing track is laughing the sport in the face. I'm hardly following MXGP anymore and this will not make it better.

I went to Mendoza a few years back when I was travelling around South America, what is the name of the track there?

My mistake Qatar is back on again,
must have missed it. Still can't understand why it's visiting Brazil and Argentina, then coming back to Holland before going back to Mexico?????? Someone wants more airmiles...
a NZ round at Taupo got very close to happening, the Goverment had to kick in some money to cover the short fall of the costs to bring it down, and that bit did not happen so it fell over,
What's wrong with Uddevalla? I think it's great for the spectators, at least.
I think it's shit for the specatators, the overview is good, the track is most times good. The parking is horrible, the announcer is horrible, the prices are shameful for what you get.
i think you mean that the guy with the GoPro is sketchy.....

Brent-What's your source for the seven figure promoter fee please?
500guy-Would you rather see a preliminary schedule now or held until the series is confirmed? Sensing you'd rather wait for a fixed schedule but didn't want to assume. Thanks.
That is one expensive series.
Lausitzring 2? I took this picture last year, not a fun to watch a race trough a fence, meters away from the action..
Then later in the year, Brazil- Argentina (AGAIN!!!)- Holland - Mexico????? That makes sense...

French track looks sketchy
It's an interesting (and adventurous) schedule.

Pit Row
Aussies, get ya cheque book out mates, there is still plenty of time for a schedule change...
Mendoza doesn't have a "famous" track now as Neuquen has (track is known as "La Barda")
I love these early Calenders that are ever changing.
