Areas with material on the boot that is just like the material in between the straps on the front of the boot flake off and reveal yellowish fiber underneath.

I have multiple pairs of the prior generation Instincts. The tag says the same thing. I power wash them anyway and they've held up fine, as good as any boot I've ever had. Just try not to blast the leather material for 10 minutes straight and you should be fine.

I agree. They hold up fine to pressure washing. Just try not to blast the soft spots. Best boots ever.

All boots say things like that. Ideally you never want to wash them with anything more than a wet sponge. But if you don't live in the desert, that's probably not gunna work.

I wear holes into the soles of my boots before they would fall apart from using chemicals and a pressure washer.

I always power wash my boots although I keep my distance now. I had a pair of tech 7's a few years ago and I wash them very close at the toe (dumb on my part i know) but the pressure melted the plastic like material on the toe. if you scrub them first them rinse them I dont think the power washer will hurt them. I wish I had a pair of the fox boots they look sick.
