Yep, absolutely love it. Handles great and was even better once I got the suspension done, was set up out of the box for a 85-90kg (190 lbs) rider. So being on the lighter side had to put a softer shock in. The motor pulls hard from the bottom most of the way through the rev-range.

Felt a bit weird at first being a tad wider (that was coming off the Kawi) but once you get used to it doesn't worry me one bit.

I wouldn't think that a 250F would be set up for a 190 pound rider. I always thought it was closed to the 150-160 pound range on the 250F's.

Rode one last night. Very impressed. Felt very light in the way it handles. Was happy with the stock suspension and it hadn't been fully broken in yet. Great power for a stock bike with nothing done on it. The Yami moves to the top of the list...

Im about to trade my 13 rmz250 for the yami. Suspension on the suzuki sucks ass in comparison and is rigid as all hell. Turns great though, if track is smooth

That is a really nice looking machine. First Yami I've liked in a long time.

I really like how the exhaust on these new yamis is tucked up under the side panel. looks so much better than these long ass cans hanging off the back

Does the front end knife/push in corners ? That's the only hiccup I'm trying to resolve on my 13 yami.

I want one. Not gellin at all with my 13 kx450, put ten hours on it and started riding my 2 stroke again.

At 175 lbs, am I too heavy for a 250f??

Was never really of a fan of the white/red YZ's but that thing is so sick!

I love mine. I went back to my two strokes for the last several years, but decided to give a new 250F another try. It's an awesome machine.

The OP Yami looks good, and I rarely say that about blue bikes. The new yamaha's are wide, I hated it but some people love it. I'm 6' and always felt a bit cramped on yamaha's, the seat to peg to bar positioning always seemed way out if whack. But it's all personal preference.

Thanks for the comments guys!

@dramirez12.... I race B grade here in Aus so yeah. I really loved the Kawasaki never had any problems with it and felt really comfortable on it, loved the motor and how light and nimble it felt. When I first rode the Yami a couple of things I found straight away was the power (felt like I had 5 extra HP off the bottom) and how good it turns compared to the Kawasaki and that's not bad-mouthing it I thought it was great.

The only thing I did not like when I first got on it was the width, just because I was used to how slim the kawasaki was. But after 20-30mins on the bike I was used to it.

If you do make the switch I don't think you will be disappointed.

I saw one this weekend at my local track. Other than the wide gas tank area, the bike looks really good and the guy riding it was pretty quick.

Which shock did you put on the bike? Ohlins? A-kit?

Why not just revalve and respring the OEM shock first to try?

I had an 09 yz250f before this one and this is a whole different machine. I have ridden other bikes but this is my favorite by far!

I was quite content with my 13 CRF 250 until I rode my buddy's new 14 YZF 250. Expensive ride. Drove straight to dealer after riding and ordered one. Damn that guy.
