yea im sure they start working on the new model 6months before the release date...haha

i heard it from an "insider" that it was a radical new design.. was just wondering if anybody else heard the same..bike has been pretty much the same since 08 would make sense that they are going with something new..

Bike has been pretty much the same since 2005. Especially the factory version!

Are you for real Team Green. I know you are insider and all. But the bike that Ricky rode and the bike that Dungey rode are pretty damn similar to the bike that Bubba is riding.

Not even close, all you have to do is look at the frame. I had an 06, rode an 08 when they came out and felt like I was riding a completely different bike.

Suzuki will get me excited when they bring back the rm 250 for sale in North America. My 03 was the best bike I've ever ridden.

They finished up the season in Japan on the 2016 model. I'll see if I can dig up some photos of the 2014, but its pretty old news.

There's spy photos of the 2017 RMZ on www.vitalracertrannyworld.com

It's a new site, doesn't even exist yet.

'08 model change had a rough-patch, so....w/ the '08.5 or '08 rev II or some even call it the Early '09 we got the bike that carried thru '10 w/ a few revisions along the way...notably "intake & fuel systems".

'11-'12 was a "Continuation"; but, plenty of little tweaks.

Race-Bike-wise: they've come A LONG WAY since RC's "chopper".

Chad, Ivan, Dungey & Metty Have ALL made some serious contributions to what is quite possibly the best "legacy development" program &, therefore, "Bike" in the biz. Oh, & let's not forget that other guy...

"The MAN!" Roger F'n DeCoster, Bitches!

This bike is -2- solid gens older than '05.

I'm jus' sayin'...

I've heard that there are a couple bikes coming from Suzuki that will be all new. One is the GSXR1000 and the others that I'm hearing are dirt. I'm pushing for a revamped 85cc class bike as well, come on man that things is way dated. We'll see, but yes I'm hearing similar things about Suzuki.

I have heard Ricky himself say that the bike is not all that different than the bike he retired on.

Not that far off..if you have any design, R&D, and testing experience you would know they are at least 2 years ahead with prototypes, and even further ahead working on designs and concepts.

At this point the 2014 is well on its way to pre-production..aka old news...likely 2015's are being built for testing.

I have an '05 and it's NOTHING like the '08+. EFI, new chassis, 5 speed, etc.

Yeah they are different for sure... Ricky "may" have been referring to the fact that he has had a factory Zook in his garage for most years since he retired...

I'll play, here's somthing to consider. Look at what Yamaha did when they were struggling money wise. I know for a fact that they had bikes a long way through development and prototypes that should have hit showroom floors, but were put on the backburner due to financial trouble. They stuck with the tried and tested BNG instead.

With Suzuki apparently in a world of hurt financially in the US, the epicentre of motocross worldwide, I say that they will also take the BNG option in the near future.

That's all James needs, to sign with a new team because of their bike and then have them change it all up on him. Actually that would be an awesome April Fools prank by Suzuki, if they showed James some "2014 renderings" and it had a backwards engine on it! Haha.

I've also recently heard of a new RMZ coming out that is suppose to be quite a lot of good changes.

The only thing the RMZ needs is to be lighter as I hear its pretty damn heavy...even though it feels light.

Would be cool to see. It would be nice if they could shave about 10 lbs off of it
