Gorgeous day here after overnight rains have left the track perfect. Just finished watching the first free practice and the track will be brutal by the end of the day. Track surface reminds of Valkenswaard at first glance but the sand surface is harder. For SoCal racers the surface reminds me of the old Sunrise 395 track up in Adelanto while the layout is blessed with more elevation changes.
Stay tuned for BTS shots as the day progresses. BTW the Latvian people are very friendly and prices are the lowest I have experienced in Europe but I have not visited Praque or Budapest which are both known for inexpensive food and lodging.

Man that must be tough to fire up on the airplane.
Media Center is buzzing. Nice running into people like David Bulmer who I have not seen in one year. It was a pleasure opening up our home for two nights and showing him the South Bay. People who experience Hermosa Beach understand why I lived there for 17 years.
I believe this is diferent than the US model but I know for a fact the OEMs sell one type of unit internationally and a different one for US market due to the US MX models having to comply with the static 94db test while outside the US it is 2 M Max. It is past time everyone gets on the same page but it is a long story why they are not. The differences just are not mufflers but subtle changes to the airbox (resulting in another part number) which I only this past week became aware of.
Not sure if this is sold in the US but I like it regardless.
To the victors go the premier washing stall.
