If it isn't FI that's fairly piss poor of Yamaha. But lets hope that isn't the final design for the 250.
These pics were leaked pretty early, and they did not come straight from Yamaha, so i guess we could still see some changes when they are "officially" announced.

How can they be ten years apart when they are still the same? Yamaha must really think the buying public is beyond stupid.

Actually you should probably get your facts straight because in 2006 they redeveloped the entire bike. That was when they went to aluminum frame, they made the engine smaller and skinnier than it was. So it's not a 10 year old bike. You could say a five year old bike, I know it doesn't sound like it's updated but up till this year no 250f's have really been updated in 5 years. And I'm sure yamaha is working on something special within the next 2 years like they did on the 450.
What exactly did they do to the engine to make it smaller and skinnier. And my post was aimed at the original poster pointing out the lack of fuel injection. Besides, wasn't the 2006 model the year of the valvetrain munching head recall? The YZ250F fell off the map a few years ago in the mag shootouts due to the lack if updates to the engne. But here we are ten years in. And about that aluminum frame 2011 model, I'll bet my 2001 model still tips the scales at less weight.
