Excellent point. I am hoping and praying that it only looks that fugly because the photo is crappy and grainy.

Looks different. Can't really say without seeing it in person, or at least a better photo. The 450 is the one I really want to see.

Well, actually the Husqvarna looks better! LOL.
With these spy photos circulating all over the world now you got to wonder what the Yamaha execs are thinking... A late official release date is just doomed.
Yamaha boys: Just release the bike already, the impact of a new product release is more powerful when the photos are well done and in high resolution than these lame screen shots.
We all know you still have some 09 to sell but come on.....

The pix of the 2010 bike were posted on thumpertalk last month and also on hellforleather.com - apparently not very confidential!!!

Only thing that scares me about those bikes is the suspension. Sachs and Showa? Bound to be out of balance. Saw them at Mammoth, they were for sure clean designs. KTM has cleaner designs but not bad at all. For a BMW.Wink

Good to see yamaha re-inventing the motor. Must have some complicated gearing?? I'll buy one if theyre 400 cheaper than Honda. Laughing

That thing is fugly!! Sometimes it takes me a while to like some of the newer radical designs, but this is one i don't think will be growing on me.

The 250F is not expected to be Fuel Injected, and the motor is the same as previous years.

Yes, so judging by the look of the 250f ,and going back and looking at these images that were posted weeks back, its probably worth saying this must be what yamaha really is planning for the 450 afterall...

I think you can most certainly tell that someone doesn't actually know how to ride an MX bike when their primary concern for the completely updated new model is, aesthetics.

Who effin cares?

i'm particurlarly interested in the frame, and if it will go around a bend from now on.

As I understand only the 450 will be EFI.....some people feel 250s are not the best candidate for EFI.....power on a 250 is already fairly linear/tractable.

What's really needed isn't new plastics,
but a new re-vamped & up 2 date ENGINE............
Plastic doesn't win you anything!
Sure, 450's first...............
But, the 250F's "way way way" overdue! Shocked

Husqvarna has released pricing for its entire lineup (see table below). Significant upgrades for 2010 reportedly include 48 mm Kayaba forks across the line; stronger, more flexible plastic; and stronger, lighter front and rear wheel hubs. In addition, the company says there has been a host of model-specific changes for both the two-stroke and four-stroke platforms.

No word yet on availability. We reported earlier on the company's plans for a dealer meeting later this month. In an interview in April, Mark Brady, president of Husqvarna Motorcycles North America, said that he expected about 80 U.S. dealers to retail more than 2,000 bikes this year.

Family Model MSRP
Cross Country TXC250 $7,299
TXC450 $7,699
TXC510 $7,999
Enduro 2-Stroke WR125 $5,999
WR250 $6,799
WR300 $6,999
Enduro 4-Stroke TE250 $7,599
TE310 $7,999
TE450 $8,299
TE510 $8,599
Motocross TC250 $6,899
TC450 $7,399
Supermoto SM450 $7,999
SM510 $8,699

& ROCK,
2 carb or not to carb?
For me, if EFI cures the bog, the bog that comes along when she's
least expected even on the best of the best, then it's a must have!
I've personally seen to many get hurt on the best equipment,
many times from other issues yet many times from the BOG!

a good chassis is more worth than 5 hp.
