Sweet! Maybe that means the one I saw is still available Evil

Great find, that looks like a really clean KX. Should be a fun bike!

That looks like one I called about in the New Philly area. Looked very clean in the CL ad.

I have the zakt same bike totally stk.First thing i did was take off the girl bars and put on Renthals just like you did. The thing is EVIL without a P/C rear Link, its a must have. Get a rear shock from a 06 or 07 or you can have yours modded with high speed comp.
Oh and great find you will love it.

Built an 06 last year. 450 forks, the whole bit. Fun bike. Sold it to Davey Jones last fall.

4 stroke forks or do the updated fork guards fit the old forks?

Those look like the original forks. I'm pretty sure the new fork guards mount right up

Are you having the forks done by anyone? Our stock 05 forks on our kx250 and kx250f were not the best forks I've ever ridden with. There was a really harsh feeling to then that we couldn't get to go away. We ended up putting 06 kx450 forks on the kx250 instead

If you are looking to get motor work done I can highly recommend Tom Morgan of Tom Moragan Racing! I also second the PC link for the handling, although, it still isn't the best handling motorcycle out there. I might spring for the applied racing 21.5 offset triple clamp, from what I have read on thumper talk this mod helped quite a bit as well.

Did you use regular automotive paint stripper on the swing arm?

Yes, normal paint stripper and a lot of elbow grease!
