Some of you might recall, and many of you participated, when I was given a sweet 2006 YZ125 back in 2009 when I returned from Iraq.

Well, I came across a used 2006 YZ250 for $2,200 and decided the 125 needed a big brother. Some older guy had it and was basically just cruising the dirt roads with it and it then sat for 3 or 4 years. When I looked at the bike his riding buddy said "the tires have never been off the ground !!"

He was running pump gas and Maxima Castor-927 in it while putting around so it was massively goob'd up with black spooge. But that also kept the engine in brand new condition.

I stripped the entire bike down and went over every inch. The 125 has a big brother now.

Thanks to PD441 and DeCal works for the sweet graphics and thanks again to all who participated in the 125 back in 2009. Now I have 2 bikes for any of my military brothers who want to come to the PHX SX and ride with us!

Thats very nice, i just returned from AFG July and will do the same as soon as my PCS is done and we are settled back into some sort of normal living! Where do you ride, i used to live at canyon and speed world before i had to give up riding due to a broken R scaphoid, its all healed now and I am not listening to any of the riding is too dangerous crap after a year in a combat zone!

Congrats on the new bike i am jealous for sure!

I normally ride in Tucson at PMP, now called MC Motorsports park. Sometimes I'll go up to Motoland in Casa Grande and every now and again I'll hit ET, Grindingstone, or the other Phoenix tracks but it's a far drive for me. We do the ride day every year during the PHX SX weekend. If you make it for that in January I got a bike for you to ride!

Wow what a great find. I originally wanted to get a 2006 yz250 myself but could not find one around my area so i had to settle with a like new 2006 kx250. I would still love to find a 2006 or up yz250 i could trade my bike for though.

I like it dude. I just went back to the 2 stroke again myself.Bought a new 2011 YZ250 yesterday. Have twice tried to make the switch to the thumpers but never felt comfortable like I do one the smokers. Rip it up man the rides looks sick!

I missed phx sx for the first tims last year due to deploymemt going back to when they had it sun devil stadium! i hope to have a bike soon but if not i really appreciate the offer! Are you AZARNG or Army Reserve? Im AGR for NVARNG and just moving from LV to Reno/Tahoe, infact im posting from Lake Tahoe right now! im going back and forth between KX 250, YZ 250, or a new KTM 250 SX! Ill figure it out soon!

Sick looking bike, it makes me want to put an old style fender on my YZ again, and remove the 450 fender.

I think this style fender looks so much better than the new one. I have no idea why people put that new one on the older bikes.
