Looks trick, but how do you repack the silencers with them all welded up like that?

Someone who thinks two silencers on a 2-stroke is a good idea probably doesn't repack silencers.

That pipe is pretty damn cool though! Love looking at a good coned pipe.

for this particular application it is a good idea. This isn't a motocross bike though.

I remember reading a article about Ezra Lusk KX back in the day and it showed that his mechanic welded a extra bead on the very tip of the silencer making it just a bit longer because Ezra could tell the difference. Looking at this just makes me wonder how drastic the change would be.

If the welds weren't ground off the inside as each cone is put on it leaves a lot of slag to disrupt flow. Surely this was done.

The welds on the outside don't look the best either, but I'm sure who ever is making them will get better with time.

She's a butterface, but I'd let her jack my lumber. ( I hear that song every couple of days up here, the radio station is a tad behind the times. )

Wait a minute here. I though that was the Canadian national anthem.

He was probably needing recovery time from his carpal tunnel work. He was a busy beaver there for a run.

Not really true. If its gas welded, there is little to no lip on the inside of the pipe, and little to no slag or bead inside. While these aren't the nicest welds in the world, they are good enough that there would be no negligible power loss on this pipe.

Trust me on this; I have welded a TON of pipes. However I must say, good eye, and reasonable thought sir. Smile

Then a scalvini must be something the "special" kids worked on.

The twin silencer setup is a completely unnecessary design. Other than Honda's goofy weight balance idea... there is no reason to do it. Judging from what a person can see in this picture, the design would make less power than a good single set up. But, sometimes, you can’t convince people. It’s like porting--- Some want it to gleam... because they don't know what the reason is for polishing exhaust ports. It is simply to prevent carbon build up. No other reason. And, it doesn't have to be shiny to do that. Smooth is good. Most engines are torn down and cleaned enough that it could be left a bit rough.

If as you say, dual silencers are good for nothing but mass centralisation why do so many road bikes have dual silencers?
Because those engines are 2 or 4 cylinder does the added silencer help the engine or spread of power?

(Genuine question, no sarcasm intended) Maybe someone here smarter than me knows.

not to play the role of squealer here, but I think he actually used it twice. The first one just went more unnoticed.
