Okay every one I have a 1984 CR 125 it was running like a champ until I went out for a vacation and when I came home my bike had fell from its stand some how. Its been on its side for about a week and it won't start any more. It used to start every first or second kick . still has good compression I checked the oil and all of my wiring. Plz I need help . could it be fludded or the spark plug Fowled?

Dude, you gotta do a little more due diligence before your come on here otherwise you will get annihilated. Regardless of circumstances, if your 2-stroke won't start and you haven't pulled the plug, inspected it and checked for spark, you have no business seeking help online. I'm not bashing, just giving a life lesson. Check for spark. Assuming there is spark, check for fuel. Seems silly but I have to ask....are you turning the petcock on or just assuming there is still fuel in the bowl?

Well, something else I've seen twice in my life. For whatever reason and how ever it might of happened. If your needle valve in the float bowl didn't seat, you might have an abundance of fuel in your crankcase. The first time, a couple of friends of mine literally picked the bike up, and turned it upside down with the spark plug out. Quite a bit of gas came out. If the crankcase has fuel in it, you will not start it no matter how good the spark is. But like 563 said, check for spark and fuel first. I would have jumped on the bash wagon myself, but I'm feeling sentimental toward an inexperienced rider today. Have a good one.

So how would I get it started? Starting fluid?

How do you know it was on it's side for a week if you were away?

I was kidding about the starting fluid, I didn't look @ your start date here... got to be something with the carb if it has spark
& like above said check the crankcase for fuel...

You're new here... put this in the OLD SCHOOL MOTO or better yet RACE SHOP section or and you'll get your answers...

This is the moto section where we mostly talk about what Ken Roczen eats for breakfast, you know, the important stuff...

Welcome aboard... We got some current & former Pro Mechanics on this site... This site is quite good for info...

If the crankcase has a bunch of fuel in it, get it out, let it dry up for a while, put a new plug in it and as long as it has spark it should fire. Oh, and pull the carb and give her a good cleaning. Maybe put a new seat and needle valve in it.

Have you got any fuel left in the tank? If the bike landed on the left with the tap left on, you could empty the tank out the carb overflows and the fuel spill would evaporate in a day or 2 before you got home. Just asking? I've seen it a couple of times, customers bring in a bike that wont start. No fuel. Simple things first.

Drain everything...including the float bowl.

Refill everything fresh. Install fresh plug.

Go riding.

It happens, they don't make buckets like they used to. I usually kick the pipe and then bump start it. And don't forget to turn the peacock on.

You guys are definitely dating yourselves with the BR549 reference. I looked it up...but also remember the show from watching reruns of it. It came on Saturday nite after Lawrence Welk...which my great grandparents were very fond of. Their number was WY(Wyman) 284. Good times.
