Ha! I raced that same track the very next day. 125 int. all I remember is arm pump.

Larry Huffman kept it enertaining thats for sure.......

I like how Ward just stopped wherever after the race and they carried the podium to him lol

I think some fifth graders made that Miller High Life podium out of old cardboard boxes.

Bob Hannah had no style...just pin it and go fast.

That was the first SX I ever went to at the young age of 13. The only things I remember from that race was Miller High Life banners everywhere and I saw a couple of fights in the stands between drunk dudes. I remember nothing of the actual raceing.

Yeah, he sucked. I mean , he only won 6 National championships, a Trans- AMA championship, Des Nations championship. His shittiest year was '77 for sure, when he won Nationals in 125,250,500,and SX competition.

Who knows what he could have done if only he had ridden a Maico.
