Wasn't this supposed to be on the 9th, so Cooper could ride round 4 on the new bike? It was talked about on Pulp last week but I've obviously missed something here

I think they wanted to have it asap so that they can start homologating the 450 in the US.

Hopefully they release all of them today....will the smokers be the same? Will Yamaha release a 125x? A 300-350 four stroke? I honestly hope the 250x stays unchanged so I can pick up an 18 and swap all my parts over from my 16 to a new 18 at the end of this year.

BNG's that will make the bike feel 20lbs lighter and E-start option for $699.99 plus installation to make back up that 20lbs.

I think the 125x is a serious possibility but the 300-350f is quite the pipe dream....I'll admit.

They are up on the Yamaha-motor website. 450 has new frame, motor, electric start and blue rims. No change on the two-strokes.

Wifi smartphone tuning like the GET system. I wonder about the security of this.
Will we hear about riders being hacked by their competitors ?

Yamaha lists the wet weight for the 2017 model as 247 lbs so that would put the 2018 two pounds lighter.

The 2018 also holds .4 gallon less fuel than the 2017 so that's ostensibly what makes up most, if not all, of the weight savings.
