Does anyone else find it a lil but rediculous that's there is STILL NOONE making plastic for the 16 kx450 yet??? I mean really guys bike has been out for what like 6 months at least and still no plastic I think it's crazy that if you break a shroud of fender it's gotta be ordered oem and half places are outta stock on that lol. Ok I'm done with my rant anyone have any clue when this stuff should be out first I heard mid December then it was January now it's feb and still nothing......

I've been wanting the green front and side number plates before I order graphics/numbers, but yeah last I was told from Acerbis was early to mid-February still

It's just as bad for motor parts. I had a crash that caused some major damage and half the bike is backordered. Acerbis and UFO have been saying 6 weeks out for the past 3 months lol.

Yes, I've been through this with other new models but 6 months is a bit ridiculous.

I have a friend who has been watching for plastics also. I saw a polisport ad here online that they have it now but my friend said he couldn't order it on their site. Maybe give them a call

Times sure have changed in regards to aftermarket plastic mcf's. It took 9 months after KTM started selling the 2015.5/2016 model before you could get aftermarket fenders/number plates. A full year later and you still can't get frame guards, radiator louvers, etc. And KTM 250/450's are fairly popular like the new KX's.

Anyone know why from a manufacturing perspective that this seems to be an issue?

Sounds like there is quite a bit of demand so is it just a molding issue?

The KX's of RV, Tomac and Hahn are all sporting green Acerbis panels. I don't see why they haven't produced them in bulk for the masses yet???

Biggest reason for delays are the molds are way more complicated then they were in the past. With the pieces being larger and the dual injection on many pieces. The KXF450 stuff is on the water and should be available in about 3 weeks when the boat gets here from UFO in Italy.

I don't think they were out in July of 15. It really hasn't been all that long although I understand your frustration. I'm sure the product has been made for some time, but there is a lot that goes into putting a product on the market.

It's the OEMs dragging ass. They have to get a licensing agreement with acerbis, cycra, polisport, ect. They can't just start stamping out the design.
