So my very good friend finally broke down and got one. The last tiddler I rode was back in 13' during KTMs ride day.

Dude- let me tell you, this little thing is the real deal. Motor is absolutely sick. Much more broad than I would have guessed. Although it did take a couple laps to get acclimated, it was a freakin' blast. Forks did indeed suck, but, to be fair it's a brand new bike. I'm sure they'll improve a bit once broken in.
My friend is very short, and in his 50's, but absolutely hauls the mail on it..He's always had a talent for riding small bore 2 strokes. We've all been on 450's over the last 10-12 yrs, but I tell ya, his lap times are better on the lil' KTM.

If any of you Vets ever get a chance to ride one of these gems, don't hesitate.

I'll be day dreaming of my laps this coming week!

I would take a new '16 150 over literally any 200sx that was ever started.

Would love to ride the 16 150. Bought the 15 and if I knew it was going to all new I would have waited. Heard it has 4more peak hp? I still prefer the 200sx but still ride the hell out of the 150.

I rode a 16 125sx on a fairly choppy/rough track and thought the forks/Susp was pretty dam good for stock. plush and planted on corner entry breaking bumps. I too am now a "vet rider". The motor is absolutely insane. So much trq for a 125. Makes my cr125 feel like a 85cc. But I still manage to beat the owner of the 125sx on my cr ..

But how would it fair on the start of a vet class packed with 450's, 350's, and 250's?
Depends on a lot of things....

Surprised to hear you think the powerband is broad. I just picked up a '16 150 SX and can't stand how narrow the powerband is, even compared to my '06 YZ125.

I just ordered a full FMF exhaust in hopes it helps distribute power more evenly.

I almost bought one but after speaking to Factory Connection and others about the 4CS forks and WP shock I'll wait for the 17 model which will have the AER48's which are supposed to be MUCH BETTER. Glad the rest of the bike is solid.

I'm with you. The 150 is awesome. To me, it feels like a pissed of 125. I had high hopes for the 200 but I thought the 200 felt more like a gutless 250 than a pissed off 150.

Really? I've tested both multiple times last year... The 150SX is much more broad than the YZ125, IMO...

I too own a '16 150, but race +30A. Freakishly fun bike. I came off a 450, and race against them. Rarely do I feel too outgunned. I don't have a problem with the 4CS fork. Just adjustments have worked for me.

That doesn't sound right at all... Might be worth looking into!

Pop in the JD Jet kit using the 195 Main, 45 pilot that it comes with and leave the needle in the 4th position. You may want to try some VP T2 premixed fuel. This set up is great on the 125 or the 150. It'll be snappier off the bottom and run out longer up top while cleaning up the midrange.

Another thought is to check your VIN to see if you may have one of the cracked cases... If you do, the bike won't run right at all as it will suck tranny oil into the crank causing it to run overly rich.

My son has a 15 150SX and when he moves up I'm keeping that bike as my two-stroke-fun-bike. I almost bought a new 16 this year because I'm so impressed by the 150s.

Picked mine up last week and this thing HAULS. Was having trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground coming out of turns in 3rd gear. Forks did kinda beat me up going over some rough stuff heading into corners, but it wasn't bad.

Hard to resist, almost bought one last week. Heard bad things from factory guys and local guys about 4CS forks and that the 17's will have the AER forks, so gonna hold off till then, but damn she looks sexy.
