Anyone have info on getting an invite to ride it?
Many riders will be hand-picked as per the press release, but I would encourage riders who have a respectable racing pedigree to email each promoter for consideration. For Hangtown, riders can send in a "resume" to hangtownmxclassic@gmail.com, For Colorado, send an email to David Clabaugh, and Ryan Huffman is the guy to contact for Washougal.

Perfect, I actually just asked David about it.

Seeing that you are from CO, I assumed you were already in contact with DC. Should be interesting to watch 125's at altitude.

Wasn't sure where to start. Posted here then reached out to him. Looks like it's time to start practicing.

I've rode a 125 there and I can tell you, it wasn't easy to clear some stuff. It's going to be a real challenge with a national prep. Looking forward to it though!

That was the first thing that jumped out to me also. Nothing against Thunder Valley, but why make the 125's race at altitude?

I'm not sure anyone made anyone do anything. I got the impression that the promoters are behind the event and obviously David felt that it was something he wanted to add to his show.

I think all the promoters are interested in this, and it just worked out that Thunder Valley, Washougal, and Hangtown didn't have prior commitments (like Glen Helen with their open two stroke format.) It's our way to try and promote the sport any way we can.

" ... Three-Race Series Will Include Hangtown, Thunder Valley, and Washougal ..."

Really hoping Millville can be added to the list in future.

I can't speak for the Martins, but a two-stroke race at their track would be awesome.

Am I on the CNN forum and this is a "fake news" story........This cannot be true, a few years ago I was told right here on VitalMX that 2 strokes were dead at the AMA Pro Nationals.

We started with one, now up to three.......where does it go next?

Awesome. Would love see a full gate of two strokes take off at Budds Creek as well.

I think this is awesome news , and really hope it expands into something great. More events added in the future and hopefully ( one day ) make it some what a series. The dream race at Washougal has been an awesome event from day 1. And the event seems to be growing in size each and every year.

CB_910 FTW. I guarantee it.
Duane has been building him a super trick tiddler and Mitch helped so look the fuck out.

Yep...

"I have been off of the bike for a few weeks with a broken hand, so it gave us a chance to finish up the KX125 for the three 125 Dream Races. No it wasn't easy to put the 2017 body work on (and make it still handle correct). My dad @duanebrown_bbr and I ended up making the tank, subframe, airbox, and a bunch of other little parts to make it all fit right. We started with the aluminum frame but the motor sat too far back, it was heavier, and too stiff for a 125 motor... we were sad #125sMatter #125SoundMatters #125DreamRace"

Speaking on behalf of Hangtown, we are scheduled to run this race just before opening ceremonies, which puts it outside of the current TV package. But who knows where this could all lead if the series gets enough traction.
