MXA tests all three but I would opt for a 300cc KTM hands down.

I don't agree with the statement that the thumper is more reliable and barring any major issue with the thumper it is cheaper overall then a two stroke. Apparently MXA has not talked to anyone at the track nor talked to any of the pro teams. Even Pro Circuit stated when they switched to thumpers they had to triple their budget.

MXA doesn't test bikes for pro riders or teams, they test for our benefit. And average douchnozzle is not going to heavily modify his bike, which means it should last the regular service intervals. And service intervals for a 4-stroke are longer. What a pro team spends rebuilding their race motors after every weekend has no bearing on if your 250F is more reliable than your ragged 2-stroke.

Not when you consider that the 125,250 and 250F are all 125 class legal....
