09 crf250r hard to start

You're valves are sucking in a bit, adjust the clearance. A sure way of knowing this is the problem, it will be easier to start warm than cold.

More likely intake valves. Exhaust are steel and pretty durable. Intake are titanium and are usually first to go.

Like said above.. it will get where it will start when hot, but not cold. You will notice some backfiring out the carb when kicking it since the intake valves don't shut completely and compression blows back.

Then it will get to where it will bump start but not kick start. You will notice less compression when trying to kick it.

If you don't have thinner shims you can always sand down the ones that are in there to get back the needed clearance. but this is just a temp fix. If you let it go long enough to where the clearance zero'd out it will get back there again quickly since the valve faces are cupped.
