Sorry for the dumb question but what do I have to do to set it up? I guess i need a wired controller? It's to play Sim and reflex. On MX madness i love my sidewinder but I guess that's not the way to go any more? Thanks for any help.

Its hella easy. Download motioninjoy and install it. Then go to drivers (after your control is plugged in) select your usb driver/controller, load it, then go back to profile and select the xbox control. After that its as simple as clicking enable every time you plug it back in. If you unplug it that is.

You dont have to have a wired control either, just get one with a bluetooth dongle. I use a usb cable for my ps3 control though.

Yes I use a ps3 control for mx simulator and did the few times I played reflex on pc. Same setup as I mentioned, use the xbox control setting and it works perfect. Then you just pick what buttons you want for what while your in the game.

I have an old PC with Windows XP, will I be able to play Reflex with no lag issues?

Wired xbox controller, make sure you get the authentic one. MXS is very touchy, you need smooth controls, and the generic controllers don't handle nearly as cleanly.

Plug in, let it auto install the drivers, setup your buttons in the MXS options, and start dialing in some practice.

I found the wireless PC adapters on ebay for like 10 bucks, will my old wireless 360 controller be just as good as a wired one? it would save me some money.

I haven't ever used one, so I am not positive if it'll work. If you do it, and it does, let us know. I'd love to invest in something like that.

Go to customize controls and click on each function then use the controller to assign that function.

Ex: Click throttle then hit the right trigger on the xbox controller.

MX sim is frustrating as hell.

Yea those work for pc and the 360 controller I've had one of those adaptors for years now with no issues. Best Buy used to sell them. Or if you want to use the x one controller you can plug it straight into a USB port never have tried to sync the x one controller with that module. If your playing my sim I could not get the x one controller to work right.

What OS are you running? On Windows 10 all you have to do is plug in any Xbox controller, 360 or X1 and it work right from the start.

Going in to gaming device properties to fine tune your controller if you want to.

I use a PS4 controller on my PC. For games that are Xbox conductivity controller compatible you just need a program called DS windows. If you want to use a controller for games that don’t support it get the program called pinnnacle game profiler, great for setting up custom layouts.

I went through this a few months back as well. When windows 10 was initially released the drivers for any Xbox remote where not working properly. I did some Googling around and stumbled upon a few in depth tutorials on a fix. Since then and pretty recently they have re-release all the drivers and I believe updated win10 to make them work seamlessly. If I recall, in the devices screen in windows10 it should say "Xbox controller" if it doesn't then you're on the old drivers. Hope this helps I'm definitely not super computer guy.
