I happened to spectate the Steel Creek GNCC today and I came to the conclusion that David knight is a total bad ass. Knight either let the entire field go on the start or his bike would not light, I am not sure...but the whole pack had rounded the second turn before he even got started. I scurried my ass into the woods to see the lead pack come by.....maybe around mile 2 or 3 of the first lap...Knight was already in third. After that he just laid waste to everyone and most impressive was his speed at somwhere around the 2.5 hour mark, when I happened to notice that he was still flying in spite of the deterioration of the course and the fatigue factor. It was pretty awesome, kind of an RC like performance

He is definitely an awesome rider. I don't know if I would compare him to RC but he is definitely a great rider. CrazyTed Va Beach, VA m http://www.crazyted.us m Go see the wizard and ask him for some Balls! [url=http://www.crazyted.us/:3sd3x88h]

Only seen him on the tube, but with his sheer size`and strength mixed with his ability from his trials days, he is absolutely awesome. So adaptable, one week 250 2 stroke indoors and next on a big thumper outdoors.
I would love to see him ride a 500 2 stroke on an outdoors MX track. Not RC but a champ nonetheless.

Knighter definitely has some talent on a bike. His years of riding trials has given him some incredible balance and ability to pick lines. His sheer strength and size doesn't hurt either!

He's the best I've ever seen on video. The Erzborg Enduro in Austria video was all I needed to see. Dude is one with the bike and beyond. Let World Wag

Funny....I was going to start a thread like this. I saw the Erzberg show today, and I read some articles on him in Cyclenews. The way he dominates the competition certainly reminds me of the RC MX days. Bob Barr for President - 2008

Juha went back home after the 2006 season which is why KTM brought over Knight for 2007-2008.

Doug Henry or TP could give Knight a run for his money right now if they were healthy. Juha did the same thing when he was here.
TADDY BLAZUSIAK might do the same thing too.
Knight is a bad ass, but he's not the RC of the woods. suzukirm12594 click here: www.ronron.com

Recently? No.
Knight came over to race the Powerline Park GNCC in 2006 and finished 4th to Juha's 5th, but Juha was riding a 250F that day on a fast Ohio course to prepare for the ISDE and his 2007 WEC season.
Up until that point, he had 8 wins and 3 2nd's in 11 races.

Juha used to own knight in World Enduro. Knight couldn't win those for anything when Juha was there.

I don't think TP could. After watching that LA thing a couple weeks back...he just didn't look like TP of old. Plus Knight schooled him at Erzborg. Let World Wag

No disrespect because I am an admirer of Doug Henry, but I raced Open A at that Florida Race where Doug won and it was not how it appeared on film. The course was unusually open even for a Florida course and Doug was on a 450 Juha on a 250, Juha actually had the lead for a while, Henry made a move, but Juha waited for Henry to tire which did happen. Unfortunately for Juha Henry had just enough juice to hold on for the win which made for an epic race, but there is an important fact that you overlooked. Directly after the race Doug Henry needed IV fluids and a trip to the hospital while Juha on the other hand, having rung out the 250 KTM hardly looked winded. I say this only to point out that Juha was smart enough to not expend himself completely because the Georgia race was a few days away additionally he knew Doug was not racing for a championship. As for Pastrana well if he cannot conjure up enough focus to complete a 30 minute moto or 2 minute freestyle run without KOing himself I sincerely doubt he could to 3 hour races in the woods (Florida aside).
