1/23/2008 3:18 PM What can I do to the YZ to make it woods worthy? Do I go with the heaviest flywheel weight? (I am old and don't want my arms flying off in the woods)
what other things can I do to detune it. thanks Larry Friday ![]() |

1/23/2008 7:31 PM I would say heavy flywheel, Vforce ,Gnarly pipe .some barkbusters and an 18 inch rear wheel and you would have a great woods bike.

I will say that the 18 inch wheel is nice, but not strictly necessary unless you're riding a ton of rocks/rock ledges. I would also reduce the preload a bit in the back end, soften up the compression damping at both ends, and tighten up the rebound damping at both ends. |

1/26/2008 3:32 PM My buddy (very fast woods guy) had Bonz at PC set his 04 YZ up with some good suspension and it turned out very nice. He also has a scotts damper, flywheel weight and a hydro clutch.

1/29/2008 2:37 AM ![]() ![]() What is a Hydro clutch? A hydraulic clutch. (no cables) a la KTM. I believe Magura makes the aftermarket units. |
