After the Irish Round at Desert Martin chances for Cairoli to win his second MX2 title in a row are really low. The race has been dominated by the South African Tyla Rattray who swept both motos despite the shoulder injury he suffered in his recent US National experience.
The young French Christophe Pourcel keeps on showing a great consistency and, even if he's not the fastest on track, he surely deserves what he achieved so far. He has what it takes to win Championships: good speed, style, smoothness. He's consistent and has a riding style that keeps him away from troubles and preserves the bike. Cairoli and Philippaerts have more speed, heart and experience, but they both wasted too many points in the early rounds, mainly due to bad luck and hard-to-accept errors.
With only two rounds left (Holland and France) all we Italians keep our fingers crossed, anyway. Forza Tony!
