4/1/2008 4:43 PM The thing that's always held me back from trying ice racing has been how MX seems to be a ton of waiting for your time on the track.
Sitting around in the middle of a frozen lake makes that seem even less appealing. Looks like fun though. I hear the traction and lean angles are insane. ![]() |

4/3/2008 4:11 AM I was thinking about getting an appropriately retarded team together for a Numb Bum 24 effort. I'd probably end up getting chased down and run over by the snow clearing tractors, but it'd be a fun five minutes while it lasted. Maybe next year.

4/5/2008 4:58 PM Yup, I have done a ton of it. We have a charity 24 hour ice race up here, and we won the open class a few times. I had frost bite so bad one year, that kids would literally ask "Mommy! What happened to that mans face??!!" It was bad. Scabs, puss, black rotting skin. And, to think I came in cause my KNEES were cold. Middle of the night, -25 C, and doinv 100 mph down the long straights, makes for one COLD dude. We had a Yamaha XT 600 modded up, lowered, etc. Man, it was fun though. 60 mph, drifting around the corners. Lots and lots of dead two strokes at those.
