Honda CR 125 1989 mugen build

Hi guys thought I'd share my build on my Cr 125 1989.

Came across the bike on eBay. Been sitting in a potato barn for afew years and just ridden around the feilds on the farm apparently! When I got it home and had a closer look it turned out it had mugen fork internals fitted in the CR 250 forks, unbeknownst to the previous owner! (Or me).

Bike as I got it

Everything was pretty much there on the bike, just covered in dust.

More pics to follow of me building it back up.

I love the 89's. Looks like a nice candidate for a resto mod buildup. Looking forward to your build. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.

The bike isn't far off being finished now so I'm just uploading pics in the best order I have the in haha.

Once I stripped anything off the bike I took the frame to the powder coaters. Got lucky with the frame no holes, rust or dents in it.

After much searching managed to get hold of a mugen barrel and head.

I had a 1989 when I was 14. Loved it coming off my 1980 CR80, I thought it was a rocket.

What was the powder coat colour code and how do you like the match?

How much did that mugen head cost you? I bet you paid more for that than the bike. It looks super clean.
