Hey All!
So it was time for my 250f to be rebuilt this winter and I had just got done rebuilding a 125. Once I was done the 125 I started this. This has been my race bike for the last 2 years. Nothing done to it besides a pipe and suspension. I am going to post the pictures and tell me what ya think!
125 broke so when I was in the wrenching mood, I decided to start tearing apart the 250...I got it down to the frame in about 2 hours!
I don't like to even touch 4 stroke motors so I took it to a buddy who has helped me rebuild bikes in the past..what we found inside the head was scary and made me happy to know that I made the right choice in not running it much longer!
Those are the stock titanium valves with 61.5 hours on them (premium pump fuel)
Took the frame to a buddy to have him powder coat it black along with the swing arm and subframe
I used the stock hubs (had them powder coated black) and had KSR Wheels build a new wheelset around them
This motor will probably be one of the strongest motors I have ever ridden. We replaced the titanium valves with stainless steel kibblewhite's, had the crank balanced and trued, installed a Hinson clutch, and tumbled all of the gears within the motor...oh, also added some bling!
Unfortunately, a day after I got the motor back I wadded up on the 125 and managed to break my collarbone close to my sternum and am out for another 3-4 weeks so I won't be able to ride it for a little while. However, I did manage to get the entire bike back together and ready to rip when I'm cleared!
Overall, I am pretty ecstatic with how it came out. The suspension has been refreshed, motor has been refreshed/upgraded, new wheels, and a sick black frame. Let me know what yall think!
Once we have another nice day here and I have the 125 back together (needed new subframe, rear fender, etc.) i'll post a picture of both of them side by side. Pretty cool to have bikes that match!

The Shop
Had to throw the picture of the pup in there! But overall this thing rips now. Seems like bottom end power is a lot stronger, clutch pull is a lot better, and the polished tranny is SWEEEEET! Only issue I have right now is I switched to 100% vp110 and it was running very lean and popping when I would let off. Did some more reading and was recommended to run this fuel 50/50 or switch to T4. Recommendations?
Worst thing about the polished tranny is sometimes I shift now without feeling like I'm shifting. Gonna ride her again this week and hopefully give a little more feedback.
Do you know the actual process used to polish the tranny? And cost?
Cheers.
