Thanks, but I feel I should have gone your route instead so I could enjoy riding the bike. Now I enjoy building it but it will feel awkward pushing it down in the dirt. Maybe I should get another bike, at least for wood riding since the trick carbon skid plate will be vaporized when it hits the rocks

Got the tubes back from anodizing, but they seem to be a little fragile unfortunately. So I will put fork shrinks on them or something like it

Progress, managed to put some parts together:

fork lugs with lots of loctite mounted on the coated inner tube:

Reinforced the peg brackets since the holes where not so round anymore:

welded a bung so I can dial in the jetting a little more precise:

Was about to start with old awful air box, but then I realized that I don't have the time and patience. So this was the solution:

Almost ready to run lol:

No, I will run it stock for now to see how it feels and then take it from there. I will most certainly let some suspension tuner do some work on it later anyway

if you still have it apart do it, will save paying for new ones later when they have cracked.

Do powdercoated rads and engine have any problems with cooling? As in are they able to release heat as well as the stock uncoated parts?

I know what you mean, but those ain't powder coated. It's regular 2-k car paint with thin layer over the fins, it shouldn't be a problem and I have a temp gauge right on the bar pad. I'm to vain for letting them be unpainted

Drilling a tiny hole in each plastic piece will prevent it from breaking.

She's ready to start if I add the fuel tank, and I also need to find a road tire for the upcoming dyno run

Looks like a killer!!! Do you dare to use it when it's done? Just to imagine wear and tear gives me anxiety!

Thanks guys! Yes, the wear n tear will be hard to see after every ride and wash. But hopefully my mind have let this one go by then and I have a new project in sight Smile

I f##ked up my rear shock body by having it powdercoated, tried to clean the treads but gave up and just bought this one used. I don't have spirit at the moment to disassemble it and have the parts anodized black (unfortunately), feels a little bad on this bike, but I really want swing a leg over it soon.

Ordered a set of custom graphics from Wide Open graphix here in Sweden, top notch quality!

My throttle housing was worn and felt a little sloppy, searched the internet to find what to use. Read a few magazines that recommended the motion pro rev 2 kit, ordered it cause I also liked that you change the reels for quicker throttle turning.
But for the money it was not near what I expected,
no quality what so ever in housing or throttle, they stated titanium throttle, but was plastic with bad shape and sloppy on the handlebar. I will modify it with some ball bearings to make it feel like it's attached to the handlebar

Its not titanium, its a titan throttle tube. Its the name of the product and is one of the best with a 5 year guarantee. Motion Pro stuff is pretty good, i havent found any issues with their products and they always seem well thought out.

Well, now I looked a little closer and you are correct. "Titan T-M" it says, I probably have too high expectations, but for the money I thought it would be a more high precision product.

Kicked it over a few times and bang it started! It seems to running fine, I'm about to install a battery and a innovate afr meter to dial in the jetting on a nearby field. Probably gonna run it on a dyno later on, but can't wait to ride so this will do for now.

She is too beautiful to ride and I don't think the paint on the engine clutch cover is going to last 1 ride. I would like to see pics before and after you ride at the track for the first time, to see how well she stands up.

Before I take her for a real ride I will make an photo shoot, and I have some transparent plastic to put on frame and engine covers

Definitely you put some serious work into it, going to look killer

It's finished now, only jetting left until it's ready for the track! Built this "thing" for the jetting and it's NOT for track use, only to pull some gears on a field

Here are a few pics of the bike, not good and they don't do the bike justice. I will have some real photos taken of the bike soon, but for now:

Who put those stickers on the sidepanel? Looks quite messy.
That was my "skills" showing off, but I will order a new one and let the specialist put it on. Very curvy, need to use heater on that panel but I didn't (not sure If it would have made a difference)
