So, it seems I'm starting to collect some Honda 2-strokes. I LOVED my 2002 CR250 so much, I want to build a twin 125 to go with it.

Bought it down in TX from Chad Scoggins

Good looking bike that appears solid, and outfitted with some nice goodies.

Tore it down and took the front end off as I got a PC A-Kit fork and clamps with the bike.

Also got a CRF A-Kit shock for it. It's not been setup yet for the bike.

Love the look of the gold!!!!

Test fit the shock, darn near perfect fit

Have 3 days of riding on it, just about 3 hours, and I'm totally in love with it!!!

Got some goodies for both the 125 and 250. Also found out my A-Kit rear shock is a PC shock, so that's a great match to the forks. I met a guy that works for JGR at a RC race earlier in the year. Last week I raced in Charlotte, so my shock got dropped off at JGR to get all setup and rebuilt. Can't wait to get it back and put it on the bike.

Getting the new plastics on and she is taking shape. The 250 will be white and the 125 will be black #twins

Also got a carbon radiator cap

I'll sell the CR125 shock I have. It has Kashima coating and is setup for 155lb A rider. I just need to wait till the A-Kit shock is all mounted and working properly. I sent you a PM. Email me jaredtebo@yahoo.com

I'm looking for the same seat cover as you have on this bike. Did you just order it from TJ online using their form? I notice how the red sides taper off closer to the radiator shroud much more like the OEM seat cover does (unlike the one on your 250).

** Found it under Woody Honda Seat Cover

Thats the seat I ordered. Yes, my 250 seat is a little different, the 125 seat O just ordered from Throttle Jockey during the Black Friday sale.

If you want an OEM, I have an almost brand new cover I might sell. Let me know.

All my bikes are in the garage, it's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. My RC stuff is all kept in the basement so the temp doesn't change and I can work on it better.

Shock got finished at JGR today and shipped out. Really happy to hear the shock was in good shape, it's always scary buying used expensive suspension parts. Got all freshened up, revalved and re sprung for the 125, and lengthened 4mm. Should get it just in time to put it under the Christmas tree!

Good lord you have the same disease I've had for about 30 years now! Ahhhh....all the other great things in life I could have bought , but I wouldn't of had near as much fun.

Great looking bikes Jared! You always do a good and detailed build on your bikes.

Jared....quick question , JGR " Lengthened " the rear shock? Did they put a longer tube/rod in there or just move the clevis down? I honestly didn't know JGR had the capabilities to work on A-kit suspension like this. I wonder if factory connection does? I think PC and Enzo do this too? And what bike did this A-kit come off of? Looks like newer CRF stuff?

Not sure how they lengthened it. Yeah JGR can work on A-Kit, their retail shock guy came over from PC, super nice guy.

The shock is a 2011 CRF250 PC A-Kit

Got my shock and went to put it. I only test fit it before with the subframe and airbox off. My CRF KYB shock fit under the subframe fine, so I didn't even think to check.

Took the airbox off to get the clearance with the subframe first. It was resting right on top of the reservoir, so I needed to grind some clearance.

The shock gets closer to the subframe when the suspension moves. I put the seat on and put the bike on the ground. Pushed the rear end down some and it looks pretty good. Man.....the shock feels butter smooth, can't wait to try it. Now I need the decide how I want to clear the airbox.

Here is the shock back from JGR. Joey, the retail shock guy there, said the shock was in pretty good condition. He also said somebody put in Race Tech piston, so he put in the correct piston.

I'm not going to use the piston, so if somebody wants it, I'll sell it.

Broseph did you really just say you wonder if factory connection can work on a kit suspension? Come on Jeffro! Your slipping on us! Any shop can work on a kit suspension as long as they can get the parts.

Yes it does, you have to just modify the holes in the fender some. It's not to difficult at all.
